Brief Description:
The Ministry of Home Affairs has invited online applications for 3717 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/Executive posts in the Intelligence Bureau (IB). The application process runs from 19 July to 10 August 2025. Eligible graduates aged 18-27 (as on 10 Aug 2025) can apply nationwide. Selection will be via Tier 1 (Objective), Tier 2 (Descriptive), and Interview. Qualification & Age Limit:
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from recognized university.
  • Age Limit: 18-27 years as on 10.08.2025.
  • Age relaxation: 5 yrs for SC/ST, 3 yrs for OBC, other as per government rules.

Selection Process:
  1. Tier-1 (Computer Based Test, Objective)
  2. Tier-2 (Descriptive Test)
  3. Interview/Personality Test
  4. Document Verification & Medical Examination

Exam Pattern:
  • Tier-1 (Objective, 1 hour, 100 marks):
    • General Awareness: 20 Questions
    • Quantitative Aptitude: 20 Questions
    • Numerical/analytical/Logical ability & Reasoning: 20 Questions
    • English Language: 20 Questions
    • General Studies: 20 Questions
    Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
  • Tier-2 (Descriptive, 1 hour, 50 marks):
    • Essay (30 marks) (on one of two topics)
    • English Comprehension & Précis Writing (20 marks)
  • Interview: 100 marks (only for those shortlisted after Tier 2)

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification, Averages, Percentage, Data Interpretation, Profit & Loss, Time & Work etc.
  • Reasoning: Puzzles, Series, Analogy, Classification, Blood Relation, Syllogism, Statements & Conclusions
  • English Language: Vocabulary, Grammar, Comprehension, Synonyms/Antonyms, Cloze Test etc.
  • General Studies: Indian Constitution, History, Culture, Economy, Science, Misc. GK
  • Essay (Tier 2): Current topics of National/International interest

  3. Register with your valid email ID and mobile number.
  4. Fill the application form with accurate details.
  5. Upload scanned photograph, signature, and required certificates.
  6. Pay the required fee via online payment (Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking) or offline via SBI challan.
